Supportive, Compassionate Help for Women in Recovery
The most important step is calling 1-801-791-9084 and setting up an interview. Changing your life can be scary. Active Alcoholism and Addiction is terrifying. It takes COURAGE to change. You have the COURAGE. That is what brought you to this website. It is your time to CHANGE. When you come to the retreat house you will meet a group of all Volunteers. Women just like yourself. Women who were living in the darkness of Alcoholism and Addiction who have found RECOVERY. WRH is a 501C3 non-profit operated by volunteers. Come heal in a safe, supportive, sober and clean environment.
Mission Statement
Women’s Retreat House shall serve the purpose of providing a place of a safe, sober retreat for women. This will be facilitated through individual 12 step work, utilization of community resources, support, and understanding of mentors and fellow residents. Shared activities of daily living will create an atmosphere of cooperation and fellowship. Our ultimate goal is to assist the community at large by returning productive, service-oriented women to their homes and workplaces.
Live Your Best Life After Recovery
Alcoholism and addiction is real, and can be a debilitating disease, but the good news is that it is treatable. We will help you work the 12 step program so that you can rise up and live your best life. Women do better in a supportive environment with other women that understand the challenges of staying alcohol and substance-free. Our volunteers and mentors have been where you are, they are not judgmental, they only want the best for the women in the Retreat House. You can succeed!
The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
As it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
If I surrender to His Will;
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life
And supremely happy with Him
Forever and ever in the next.
Amen.
